The American Dream

In the summer of 1985, H.T. & Joann Kim immigrated to the U.S. with the hopes of opening up their very own dental laboratory. Once they settled in Tampa, Florida, they didn't waste any time bringing their dreams to life. Merely two years later, H.T. Kim earned his CDT license, and Kim Ceramics, Inc. opened its doors.

Mastering The Craft

Over the years, H.T. Kim honed his craft; leading his employees by example. His hands-on approach allowed him to maintain a high level of quality from start to finish. His ongoing commitment to continued CDT education keeps him sharp.

Bridging The Gap

As digital dentistry took over the dental industry, Joann Kim seized the opportunity to reinvent herself and keep Kim Ceramics, Inc. in the loop. She started taking classes and attending seminars provided by Jensen Industries. Shortly after earning her certification, H.T. and Joann began their foray into digital dentistry by purchasing a 3D Scanner, the CAD software, and the CAM Milling Machinery.

Reinventing The Crown

One thing that separates Kim Ceramics, Inc. is their experience. They have seen the evolution of the dental laboratory from a hands-on approach to the incorporation of technology. Utilizing 3D Scanning, CAD software, and CAM systems give them more control and precision than ever before. This results in an elevated sense of design and artistry in each and every case, consistently. Fast forward 32 years, and Kim Ceramics, Inc. continues to thrive by adding digital dentistry capabilities to their business.

The Digital Department

Our state-of-the-art Lava™ Scan ST 3D scanner and CAD/CAM Milling Machinery allows us to get the most accurate and precise rendering of each model.

The Removables Department

In addition to the digital department, Kim Ceramics, Inc., added a Removables Department, which creates base plates and bite rims. A once fruitless endeavor has flourished into a "200+ Cases A Day" Department.
